Who We Are

Founded in 1957, The Canadian Snack Food Association (CSFA) is a voluntary, non-profit organization whose members are involved in the manufacturing and distribution of snack foods. Snack foods include the traditional snack segment (potato chip, pretzel, tortilla chips, extruded snacks, nuts and popcorn), the snack cracker segment, baked snacks such as snacking toasts, potato or vegetable thins, portion packs, snacks to go, cookies, granola or cereal bars, to name a few. Members include manufacturers and suppliers to the snack food industry (i.e. raw materials, flavour and seasoning, packaging, machinery, services, etc.)

A Board of Directors, consisting of key leaders in the industry, governs the Association. Their duties include involvement with planning, research, nutrition, membership, and monitoring issues pertinent to the industry.

Objectives

To support our members’ businesses and help them grow. To advance all matters aiding the development and improvement of the Canadian Snack Food Association, to the benefit of its Business and Associate members. To permit and encourage high quality standards, to satisfy the users of its products and to protect and further public health and welfare. To collect and disseminate information relevant tot he members and provide a forum for the interchange of ideas. To strengthen the collective voice of our members by increasing the diversity and size of our membership.
